Twitch Drops: Anno 1800 Console Edition

Hey Anno Community,

Over the last weeks we have talked a lot about Anno 1800 Console Edition, and now, the release is just a few days away!

As we have done in the past for all releases of the PC version, the release of Anno 1800 Console Edition will be accompanied by a Twitch Drops event where you can earn several ornaments, skins and company logos for the Console Edition.

Viewer: Earning Drops

The Twitch Drops event starts on March 16 – release day – and lasts till March 23.

Anyone watching any of the streamers who sign up for the Twitch Drops event for the mentioned periods will be able to unlock several items for Anno 1800 Console Edition:

By watching any of our partner streamers (see list at the end of this article), you can earn the “Anno Union Banner” for watching 1 hour and the “Celebratory Ship Skin” for the Ship of the Line for watching 2 hours.

In addition, there are 4 company logos, the “Anno Union Billboard” and the “Celebratory Ship Skin” for the Battlecruiser which you can earn from any Anno 1800 streamer. Each day of the Twitch Drops event, a new item can be earned in the order shown on the image below:

The only thing you need to do is to first link your Ubisoft account to your Twitch account and then watch the streamers during the event for the mentioned time to receive your loot for Console Edition.

After receiving a drop, you need to claim it via the Twitch inventory. You can find more information on Twitch Drops in general in this official FAQ.

*As PC player, you already own the mentioned logos/ornaments/skins.

Streamers: How to participate

Any streamer can participate by signing up for the event. Simply head to this page for your Twitch account, make sure to connect it with your Ubisoft account, and opt-in to the drops. You can find more info on Twitch Drops in this official FAQ from Twitch.

When you stream Anno 1800 Console Edition or Anno 1800 PC during the mentioned period, your viewers will be able to earn drops.

This AMA will happen over on the Anno subreddit where we’ll start a new thread on Monday. From the 22nd till the 25th, members from various departments of the Anno team will be active on Reddit to reply to your questions posted in said thread.

There might of course be a few questions we can’t answer (yet) for various reasons, but we’ll do our best to address as many as we can.

We will share the link to the AMA thread on Monday via our social channels, so you don’t have to repeatedly refresh the subreddit page to look for it.

We’re looking forward to a great release week with interesting questions!

A Day at the Amusements – Update

Our art team jumped on the challenge of creating 15 new ornaments as soon as the voting for our next Cosmetic DLC Pack ended. Today, we asked our Lead Artist Tim Witprächtiger to give you all a first update on where we are at:

Lately, we started working on the 3D object for the Ferris Wheel based on the concept our 2D Artists created. At the moment, we are trying to get the right scale and adding all the small details to the model before we start texturing and animating the asset.

We cannot wait to see how you make use of the exciting amusement park ornaments later this summer. While the Ferris Wheel is surely a highlight, we can tell that much that it won`t be the only stunning centrepiece for your funfair. We are eager to listen to your feedback and we hope that you are as excited as we are about the ornamental set, because we surely would love to bring even more variety to your metropolis in the future!

Twitch Drop Event: Seat of Power

To prepare you for all architectural challenges of our upcoming Season 2 Pass DLC “Seat of Power” as well as Game Update 7, we will run another Twitch Drop Event beginning this Friday.

The whole event takes place from Friday March 20th and – to give you some time to pick your favourite streamer – will last until March 29th.

During the Event, you will be able to watch how a variety of selected Twitch Streamers construct their first palace to not only beautify their cities but also boost culture, production and more.

Anyone watching them struggle during their attempts can grab two brand new ornaments, the Seat of Power Flag and the Seat of Power Billboard. The only thing you need to do is link your Uplay to your Twitch account and watch the streamers during the event for up to 3 hours to receive your loot. You don’t have to watch these hours consecutively to receive your drop; watching them accumulated on participating streamers will also grant you the ornaments.

If you haven’t already done so in the past, to link your Ubisoft- and Twitch-account, just follow the steps outlined on this website.
