Union Update: What’s coming in February & Community Spotlight

Hey Anno Community,

With the first month of 2023 already coming to an end, let’s update you on what’s coming in the next weeks!

Game Update 17 & Playtest

Firstly, let’s talk bug fixes and patches.

While we continue working on the Free Game Update we briefly mentioned at the end of last year (currently internally dubbed the “Jubilee Patch”), we’re going to have a playtest for said update in mid-February, both to test the stability of the version as well as to get feedback on the new features we’re implementing.

There are still some issues that we want to iron out, including of course bugs that you have reported like the Anarchist quests, issues with the music or regarding the targeting behaviour of the AI – all of which are planned for the mentioned update.

We’ll have more news on the playtest soon and will follow this up later in February with more details on the “Jubilee Patch” – stay tuned!

Console Edition Reveal – FAQ

Following our reveal of the Anno 1800 Console Edition last week, we’ve seen a few questions pop up multiple times, so, let’s answer some of them today. Next week we’ll have a slightly longer FAQ blog that will then hopefully also answer the remaining ones. As a reminder: Anno 1800 Console Edition releases on March 16th on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Cross-play & Cross-progression

The Anno 1800 Console Edition allows multiplayer matches with a maximum of 16 players, with up to 4 players per team in co-op mode. However, the console version does only support multiplayer between players on the same platform.

Cross-progression between Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 is supported.

DLC content

For Anno 1800 Console Edition, we have decided to focus on the base game experience of Anno 1800 which already provides many hours of content, especially since we’ll be including the Free Game Updates that have been released for the PC version so far. Upon its release, the first 9 Cosmetic DLC will be available for purchase. The recently released “Dragon Garden” Pack as well as the three remaining Cosmetic DLC that are planned to be released in 2023 will become available later this year.

Controls

Our main focus during the development of Anno 1800 Console Edition was to achieve a smooth experience with a controller, for which the UI and controls were redesigned. It will therefore not support mouse and keyboard.

Since the PC version is optimized for mouse and keyboard input and with all the additional DLC released there, we are currently not planning to add controller support to the PC version.

Missed our livestream? – No worries, you can see the console version in action in our recording.

Community Spotlight

Rounding off this Union Update and with the “Dragon Garden” Pack having released one week ago, let’s feature some of the creations you posted using the new ornaments.

Let’s start with this this GIF by L_Q_Nguyen on Twitter, celebrating the Tết Festival: what a lovely composition! It’s great to see how the atmosphere changes between day and night, bringing out the bright colours of the lanterns and the Great Dragons in the centre.

If you would like to see some beauty building in action, then we recommend checking out Nivarias video, showcasing the whole Cosmetic DLC pack. Such a nice and peaceful idea to build a beautiful district to celebrate the Lunar New Year next to the river!

Pyronite shared a dreamy screenshot on the Annoverse Discord. The contrast between the dark skyline and the Dragon Garden ornaments creates an amazing atmosphere for the perfect night shot. Bravo!

We love to see combinations between ornaments from different Cosmetic DLC, and PeterMaywald shared a great example of these combos on Twitter. The lovely Ceiba tree from the “Plant a Tree” CDLC and the Hildegarden from the “Old Town” Pack CDLC blend perfectly together with the “Dragon Garden” Pack CDLC!

For the first time in Anno’s 25-year history, a core Anno game is launching on consoles, marking this not only an exciting step for us as a team, but for the Anno brand as a whole!

Anno 1800 Console Edition includes the full Anno 1800 base game experience with all major Free Game Updates released so far, with multiple improvements to make the game just as enjoyable on consoles as it is on PC. We will go into more detail on that in the next paragraph and future articles in the week until release.

Talking about the release: Anno 1800 Console Edition will launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on March 16th this year!

Bringing Anno 1800 to consoles

For us as a team, this project was an exciting challenge, after years of PC-focused development for Anno. From the obvious use of a gamepad instead of mouse and keyboard to the larger distance between you as a player and your screen: many things had to be considered and redesigned.

At the same time, we were very excited to not only gather new experiences, professionally, but to also be able to bring our “baby” to new platforms and therefore a new audience.

You probably already noticed in the trailer above that we redesigned the full UI: The construction menu is now a radial menu – much easier to navigate with a gamepad – while other elements have moved to other parts of the screen. There are multiple further changes, like an enlarged region map to quickly jump between islands, the option to automatically build roads around building blocks and the Annopedia with lots of useful information on game mechanics and features, just to name a few.

Of course, you will also profit from various features that we developed for the PC version over the last years like the statistics screen to keep an overview of your production, population and finances, a day-and-night cycle to see your cities in a completely different light and co-op mode to tackle the challenges of the 19th century with friends and family. Like on PC, up to 16 players can join up for some fun multiplayer time.

If you’re curious how the Console Edition looks like in action: Please head on over to twitch.tv/ubisoft and check out the VOD of our reveal live stream!

Editions and Early Adopter Offer

Starting today, Anno 1800 Console Edition is available for pre-order in two versions:

The Standard Edition includes the base game and is priced at 40€.

The Deluxe Edition includes the base game as well as three Cosmetic DLC: The “Amusements” Pack, the “Pedestrian Zone” Pack and the “Vibrant Cities” Pack with more ornaments and building skins for your cities. It is priced at 50€.

The three Cosmetic DLC included in the Deluxe Edition, as well as all other Cosmetic DLC that have been released for the PC version so far, will also be available for individual purchase for the console version after release. The “Dragon Garden” Pack releasing in January on PC will also become available on consoles later this year.

Additionally, there’s a limited Early Adopter Offer if you pre-order the Console Edition or purchase it within the first 30 days after release (until April 16th). This bonus pack includes the Imperial and Console Founder pack with several additional skins, logos and ornaments as well as the digital artbook. And, in the meantime, if you cannot wait to listen again to the superb soundtrack of the game, it’s as always available on all main streaming platforms here!

Anno 1800 Console Edition will release on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 on Thursday, March 16th. Until then, you can expect more news from us with a dedicated DevBlog on our work on the console version, as well as a trailer giving insights into the development process. We’ll also have several videos to help you get started in the world of Anno 1800. So: Stay tuned for the coming weeks, we’re excited to share more!

You can preorder Anno 1800 Console Edition right now for the platform of your choice by following this link: www.annogame.com/console

Development of Anno 1800 Console Edition is supported by the German Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Action within the framework of computer games funding.

DevBlog: The “Dragon Garden” Pack

As part of our “What’s next for Anno 1800” blog from December last year, we also talked about our Cosmetic DLC plans – and teased the first of this year’s topics: The “Dragon Garden” Pack!

Today, let’s take a look at what you can soon add to your cities to celebrate the new Lunar Year.

Light up your city and create the right mood with a variety of lanterns: Both Lantern Gates as well as individual ones are highlights especially at night. The Wishing Tree, the perfect place to hang your New Year wishes, is also decorated with a set of bamboo lanterns.

And, of course, let’s not forget the (literal) highlight of the DLC: The Great Dragon itself, easily outshining the rest and making a great centre for the overall celebrations.

Nothing stands in the way of having the best start into the new Lunar Year (the year of the rabbit, by the way, not to be confused with the Rabbids).

Additionally, there are also some ornaments that don’t have as much of a festive character but can be used to create a (dragon-) garden or dedicated district. Starting with the Forbidden City Wall and Gate to frame such an area, you can place mighty stone Lions to protect the entrances. The Garden of Serenity or the Pagoda, on the other hand, are wonderful places to relax or to meet good friends.

With these new ornaments in your bag, you’ll be able to celebrate Lunar New Year in style – and can probably make Princess Qing very happy. We can’t wait to see your creations and designs!

The “Dragon Garden” Pack will release next week, on January 19th, for the usual price of 4,99€. You can find a list of all its ornaments below.

List of all ornaments

  • Lantern gate (2 variants)
  • Lamp Post
  • Lucky Bamboo Lanterns
  • New Year’s Lantern
  • Fortune Coin Stand
  • Wishing Tree (3 colour variants)
  • Bronze Bell (with and without roof)
  • Gong (with and without roof)
  • Wishing Gate
  • New Year Stall
  • Peaceful Pagoda
  • Forbidden City Wall (modular)
  • Forbidden City Gate
  • Garden of Serenity
  • Stone Lion
  • Great Dragon

Union Update: Game Update, live stream and challenge rewards

Hey Anno Community,

Happy New Year! We hope you had a great time over the holidays and started well into 2023.

Let’s take a look at what’s planned for the coming weeks in the world of Anno 1800:

Upcoming Game Update 16.1

Firstly, we’re currently in the validation phase for Game Update 16.1, a patch that will address several of the issues you reported to us following Game Update 16 and DLC 12. For example, the duplication of item effects when using the multi-move feature, several text issues for the Stadium and the problem that the game was not starting under certain circumstances.

The Game Update is planned for January 19th, we’ll have the full Release Notes for you closer to that date.

Celebrate Lunar New Year in style

Talking about January 19th: On the same day, we’re going to release the “Dragon Garden” Pack Cosmetic DLC.  Celebrate the New Lunar Year with the Dragon Garden Pack and create stunning lucky-dragon-themed districts in your empire with new ornaments. More details and screenshots on Thursday in a dedicated blog.

Revealing Anno 1800 Console Edition

Before these releases, however, there’s one more big event: On the 17th at 5PM UTC+1 we will reveal the Anno 1800 Console Edition in a live stream on twitch.tv/ubisoft

We’re excited to show you what we’ve been working on and how you will soon be able to experience Anno 1800 on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. Mark the day, we’ll see you there!

“Cultural Boom” Community Challenge

Last but not least: The DLC 12 Community Challenge!

As we already said before the holidays, you smashed the goal of settling 81 million Artistas with ease. In fact, in the two weeks the challenge was running, you achieved three times that: a total of 242 million! Incredible, your New World cities must be very crowded by now and we hope you built some parks for them to relax.

With Game Update 16.1 next week, we’ll add two rewards to the game for everyone: Two new company logos themed after DLC 12 (orchid and bird) and two new player colours (Bordeaux Red and Orange).

Union Update – Happy Holidays 2022

Hey Anno Community,

We’re super close to the holidays and the end of the year, time for one last blog post here on the Anno Union.

This year’s focus was very much on the New World region, with “Seeds of Change”, “Empire of the Skies” and “New World Rising” all adding new options and possibilities for the New World – with DLC 12 even expanding the region further and adding Manola, a large continental-style island.

That said, we have also seen many happy comments (and screenshots!) in regard to the “Old Town” Pack Cosmetic DLC and admired all the little castles you built. We are not only happy that the Cosmetic DLC continue to be so well-received, but are also amazed by seeing what you create with all these options in the game now!

In addition to our livestreams (as usual with a very wholesome chat), 2022 marked the first time since 2019 that we could bring Anno to a large physical event again! Gamescom 2022 was a great experience for us, and we loved meeting some of you there.

And while we love seeing the comments, screenshots and videos you posted about “New World Rising” and the things you discovered in the DLC, we’re aware that some of you are still encountering issues with starting the game, even after the hotfix from Friday last week. For our investigation, it would be great if you could get in touch with Customer Support and provide your DxDiag file as well as your Ubisoft Connect launcher log.

There are also several other bug reports we’re investigating following the release of DLC 12, like missing translations for certain menus or a problem with item effect duplication. We’ll keep you updated on the most notable problems via our Known Issues Board.

Therefore, looking into 2023, our first focus in January is ironing out those issues with a patch. As we communicated in early December, we’re also working on a larger Game Update for Spring and will have more news on it and its contents early next year.

Additionally, expect news on the Anno 1800 console version next year, too!

As some of you have already asked, we’re as usual sharing this year’s artworks as wallpapers with you. You can download the whole bundle here. Enjoy artworks from “Seeds of Change” over the “Industrial Zone” Pack to “New World Rising”!

We’re wishing you Happy Holidays and a great start into the New Year.
See you in January!

Union Update – Updates and a Community Spotlight

Hey Anno Community,

It has been a week since the release of “New World Rising” and we hope your New World is thriving with happy Artistas! We thought it was the perfect moment to stop and have a look at the awesome content you have been sharing with us, as well as giving you an update on what has been going on in the past few days.

Issues with Anno 1800 not starting after Game Update 16

While we are extremely happy to see so many of you experiencing cultural boom in the New World and building amazing Medieval citadels with our latest DLC and CDLC, we are also aware that some of you are currently facing issues with the game not launching since Game Update 16. As stated in this forum thread, we think we have found a fix for the problem and are currently in validation. We should be able to tell you a timeline for the fix tomorrow. We recommend following our forum thread to stay up to date with the latest news, as we will update it as soon as we have more information.

Once again, we apologise for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience.

“New World Rising” Twitch Drops

One last reminder for our current Twitch Drops campaign, as you still have 3 days to grab two fancy new ornaments dedicated to “New World Rising”! All you need to do is grab a snack and a cup of coffee (or tea if you prefer) and watch your favourite Anno livestream for 2 hours.

Community Challenge – Cultural Boom

We are halfway through the “Cultural Boom” Community Challenge. First of all, wow! There is still a week to go, but you already passed it with over 107 million Artistas! You have done an excellent job in welcoming new residents to your New World islands, so we decided to add something else as a reward: two new profile colours – congratulations, Annoholics!

And now we wonder – will you get to 200 million by the end of the Challenge and show off your outstanding city-building skills?

Community Spotlight

With the release of “New World Rising” and the “Old Town” Pack CDLC at the same time, we decided to dedicate today’s Community Spotlight to these two themes and the wonderful screenshots you have shared so far.

We start with Maulwurf_Viking2371, who shared this amazing screenshot on the Annoverse Discord: this seems like the perfect location for a small Medieval town, plus the idea of building it next to the fortress makes it even more special. Great shot!

When it comes to beauty building in Anno 1800, Aestris never disappoints. Aestris has been sharing a lot of screenshots portraying life on Manola – it was difficult for us to choose only one screenshot, as every one of them looked stunning! Therefore, we decided to go for an overview of Manola. Mixing the ornaments from different packs, including the “Old Town” Pack is a great way to spice things up.

We love screenshots that tell us a story in some way, and we thought that this collection of screenshots by Hippimichi on Reddit does exactly that. We chose to highlight a close-up of the old town and the merchant, while you can also see a parade about to enter the old town walls, but we recommend checking out the whole collection on Reddit!

Artistas bring wonderful colours to the New World, and One_King_4900 has captured this splash of colours by night. We love the contrast of the quiet darkness surrounding the bright and colourful Artistas residences, enhanced by those faint streetlights. What a lovely combination!

Union Update: It’s “New World Rising” & “Old Town” Pack Release Day!

Your medieval dreams will finally come true in Anno 1800, with a touch of nostalgic feelings for one of our community’s all-time favorites: Anno 1404. For more information on the new ornaments, check out our dedicated DevBlog.

Alongside the DLCs, we’re also releasing Game Update 16 with not only plenty of bug fixes but also several improvements and adjustments to the game. Please have a look at the Release Notes before diving into the new content.

“New World Rising” Twitch Drops

Here is a friendly reminder that Twitch Drops Event is still active and will be available until December 18th, so there are still ten days to get yourself some fancy “New World Rising” banner and mural by watching your favourite streamers! Furthermore, any streamer not part of the Early Access, can now sign up to activate those drops for their Twitch channel. You can find all the information on the topic in our previous Union Update.

A new Community Challenge

With “New World Rising” a new Challenge awaits you, Anno Community! We hope you are ready to welcome Artistas to you Anno cities, as this new task will revolve around them. With the challenge “Cultural Boom” we ask you to come together and reach collectively 81 million of Artistas in your Anno cities. The challenge starts today, December 8th, and will run up until December 22nd.

What about the reward? Well, this time 2 new player logos will be unlocked if you successfully complete the challenge, which will be added to the game in January.

Anno 1800 on Steam

Starting today at 7PM UTC+1, Anno 1800 will again be available on Steam for purchase, in addition to the Ubisoft Store and the Epic Game Store.

This is all for today’s Union Update. Now, it is time for you to dive into the latest content and have fun, happy city-building!

Union Update: What’s next for Anno 1800?

Hey Anno Community,

We’re not quite at the end of 2022 yet and still have the finale of Season 4 ahead: New World Rising is releasing on December 8th, as we announced not too long ago. However, as tradition demands, we first want to give you a look at our plans for the future, and what you can expect in 2023.

Our 2023 plans

Let’s start with the elephant in the room, a question that we have seen asked many times recently: Will there be a Season 5?

Anno 1800’s success and popularity has enabled us to provide more post-launch support than for any previous Anno title. When we created our DLC plans all those years ago, we did not expect to still work on our “baby” in 2022, and still have so many of our fans regularly coming back to our game, discussing features and providing their feedback or suggestions.

To use a metaphor: Just like a year comes to a close after four seasons, so will Anno 1800 see its end of main development after Season 4.

We are not quite done yet, however, (and not just cause “New World Rising” isn’t out yet) and still have a few things planned for 2023:

Firstly, by popular demand, as we still get requests for more Cosmetic DLC, we are planning to release more cosmetic packs throughout next year. Details on them will follow in 2023 – but for the first one we can already tell you a bit more in just a moment.

Secondly, aside from potentially needed patches, we are planning a free Game Update in Spring, not only with bug fixes, but also several additional quality-of-life improvements.

Last but not least, we’re preparing a little something for the 25th year Annoversary of the brand.

So, while there won’t be a full Anno 1800 Season in 2023, we still got a few things planned for next year – stay tuned!

The “Dragon Garden” Pack Cosmetic DLC

We mentioned our plans for Cosmetic DLCs above and while more info for most of them will have to wait for next year, we can already give you a first few details about the first one that is already coming out in January! Just in time for Lunar New Year, we will release the “Dragon Garden” Pack, giving you several new ornaments that will allow you create a dedicated part of your city that Princess Qing would certainly appreciate.

Here’s a first little teaser for you:

Anno 1800 is returning to Steam

Together with the release of New World Rising on December 8th, Anno 1800 will also be again purchasable on Steam, in addition to the Ubisoft Store and the Epic Games Store.

Future of the Anno brand

Above, we gave you a brief overview of our plans for 2023 and we’re looking forward to revealing more next year.

At the same time, we understand that many in the Anno community are also wondering about the future of the Anno brand overall.

While we do not have anything concrete to announce at this point, given the popularity of Anno 1800 it should not be a surprise that we are working on the future of Anno.

Some of you have recently participated to our Technical Test for the console version and we want to thank you for all your valuable feedback. Those versions are shaping up well and we will come back to you with more news.

We are also in an early concept phase for our next project. That means exploring new ideas and discussing what parts we would like to improve upon or what was missing. Like we have done it for Anno 1800 and its post-launch content, we are also closely looking at the feedback we received and still receive across our various community channels such as the Anno Union. But overall, it is too early to get any deeper into details. We are looking forward to the future when we will have more to share.

Thank you all once again for your continued support over the last years! Stay tuned for both the upcoming “New World Rising” DLC as well as all the things happening next year and beyond!

DevBlog: The “Pride & Peddlers” Scenario

Dear Madame,
Ever since you arrived in the New World, your name has become a synonym for exquisite taste.
It is no secret that you deal in some of our greatest treasures. While this practise is perfectly legal, we regret that our people were unable to place a bid for what is rightfully theirs.
We, the Artista Collective, want to encourage the repatriation of these objects and hope to enlist your help in this matter.
Rather than intrude on your time uninvited, we have an offer to make, one that is well-suited to your talents as a trader.
We await your presence at the Atelier Insólito, graciously hosted by the Yaosca Research Centre.
Respectfully,
The Artista Collective

Another challenge awaits you, Annoholics, in Season 4’s third scenario: Pride & Peddlers.

As you may have already deduced from the intro, this time you will be taking on the role of Madame Kahina, a trader dealing in exotic artefacts, spices and more. Hired for just these talents, Pride & Peddlers is all about producing and trading goods and amassing significant sums of money.

The goal: Buy back three valuable artefacts from three Old World traders and exhibit them in your still-to-be-constructed museum.

Check out our video below to get a quick overview:

Gameplay

You’ll be starting off with a small fleet of four ships and are free to settle any island you want. The production chains and needs largely follow the regular ones in the New World, with only a few modifications. Building a first settlement and – importantly – getting your production started to have goods to export should be your first objective.

There is a twist, however: Since all your workers are volunteers in this mission, you will not be able to tax them. Accordingly, your only source of income is trade. We’ve adjusted the balance calculation to show you if you’re making a plus or not in this scenario. For this, you will either have to set up trade routes or approach a trader manually. Possible trading partners are both the already mentioned three traders (Margaret Hunt, Vicente Silva, Carl Leonard von Malching) or some familiar faces from the New World (Yaosca, Isabel Sarmento, Paloma Valente).

The Old World traders also offer goods your residents might be willing to pay you for (Black Market goods), but those are expensive, and you’ll have to think twice if you can afford them.

Some other changes to your regular gameplay sessions include the randomization of the map, meaning mines and fertilities are not consistent on restart. Additionally, mines are finite and cannot be “refilled”, and there’s no military component to the scenario.

You can and will need to settle multiple islands to produce the large variety of goods and stay prepared for all eventualities – but expansion is expensive. Make sure you can compensate the costs via your trading.

Additionally, there are some optional story events around Madame Kahina herself – and you’ll occasionally find valuable goods in the wreckages or less fortunate trading vessels.

The Market

After this general overview over the scenario, let’s dive into one of the core features: The Market.

Similar to the “Seasons of Silver” scenario, the market situation changes in irregular intervals (meaning not all events have the same duration), providing you with modifiers to your production, population and trade. The market is rather unregulated – which can be a great way to turn a big profit, if you manage to get ahold of the products affected by the market trends. Events can be positive or negative, see these two examples:

  • “A fishy business”: fish oil can be sold at 250% its normal price.
  • “The fields lie barren” | Negative event: Farmer protests that affect all crop farms, all new world orchards and all animal farms. Farmers everywhere have decided to protest harsh conditions and falling prices –> -50% productivity, +75% chance of riots

You’re provided with a forecast as to what the next market event will be, allowing you prepare. It might not be profitable forever to focus on agricultural goods, but you might want to branch out and also get some more advanced factories going.

The market trends are randomized to a degree, and there are quest-related special events with their own effects. Additionally, the market trends are both influenced by with whom you are trading (Old World traders or New World traders) and how far you have progressed in the scenario.

Victory Conditions

As mentioned previously, your goal is to repatriate the three artefacts in question and then exhibit them in your museum. This grants you the Bronze Medal.

Silver and Gold will additionally challenge you to end the scenario with a certain amount of money for the “heritage fund” and Gold requires you to be a real export master (which actually was our internal name for the scenario) by selling a total of 500.000 tons of goods during your playthrough.

This time around, there is no timer attached to any of the objectives, which means that in theory you have as much time as you want.

Practically, due to the changing market situations described above, you will still want to tackle your goals in a timely manner

The rewards for finishing the scenario are new skins for your museum modules.

As introduced with DLC 11 and Game Update 15, Pride & Peddlers is also coming with its own set of badges. These extra challenges grant you additional Golden Tickets for the Grand Gallery if fulfilled during a playthrough. There are three in total:

  • Win the scenario with 180t of scooters in storage.
  • Win the scenario with 100K coins in stock.
  • Win the game with a population of at least 3.000 after surviving one hour in volatile markets.

An update for the Grand Gallery

Finally, we’re also updating the Grand Gallery with Game Update 16. For your Golden Tickets earned through the scenarios you can unlock several additional items, the selection is a mix of specific feedback you provided us with as well as a general community favourites. For example, you can now find Ermenegilda di Mercante, the Mole Master and Master Craftsman Franke in the Grand Gallery.

Additionally, you unlock the Artista portraits for your profile as well as a variety of cemetery-themed ornaments like graves, a crypt or an angel statue.

And that’s all for “Pride & Peddlers”, the new scenario coming with the “New World Rising DLC”. How will you fare without taxes as primary income source?

Development of Anno 1800 – Season 4 is supported by the German Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Action within the framework of computer games funding.

Twitch Drops & Early Access: New World Rising

Hey Anno Community,

Over the last weeks we revealed the contents of the upcoming “New World Rising” DLC, and now, the release is just a little over one week away!

As usual, the release will be accompanied by a Twitch Drops event – from which you can earn two DLC-themed ornaments – as well as an Early Access period for selected streamers.

Early Access Period

These streamers will be able to play the content of the new DLC – including the scenario – from Friday, December 2nd at 3PM UTC+1 until the release on Thursday, December 8th. So, if you can’t wait to see more of DLC 12 as soon as possible, that’s the way to get a look at even more gameplay. You can find a list of all streamers participating in the Early Access period at the end of this blog.

Twitch Drops

Additionally, there will the chance to earn Twitch Drops from December 2nd until the 18th.

These will already be available during the Early Access period for the selected streamers. All other streamers will be able to also activate the Twitch Drops on their channels after the DLC’s release on December 8th.

As a streamer not part of the Early Access, to sign up for the Twitch Drops, simply head to this page for your Twitch account, make sure to connect it with your Ubisoft account, and opt-in to the drops. You can find more info on Twitch Drops in this official FAQ from Twitch. When you stream Anno 1800 during the mentioned period, your viewers will be able to earn drops.

Earning Drops

Anyone watching any of the streamers who signed up for the Twitch Drops event for the mentioned periods will receive two new ornaments:

An “New World Rising” Banner for watching 1 hour and an “New World Rising” Mural for watching 3 hours.

The only thing you need to do is to first link your Ubisoft account to your Twitch account and then watch the streamers during the event for the mentioned time to receive your loot. You don’t have to watch these hours consecutively to receive your drop; watching them accumulated on participating streamers will also grant you the ornaments.

After receiving a drop, you need to claim it via the Twitch inventory. You can find more information on Twitch Drops in general in this official FAQ.

Please be aware that all rewards will only be delivered to you after the release of DLC 12.

If you haven’t already done so in the past, make sure to first link your Ubisoft and Twitch account by following the steps outlined on this website.

Below you can find a list of all streamers participating in the Early Access period.

Please be aware that you can also earn Twitch Drops from any other streamer playing Anno 1800, who has enabled the Drops on their channel, after the release of DLC 12. Just have a look at the Anno 1800 category on Twitch between December 8th and December 18th.
